Rosslee Construction began trading in 1977 from its premises in Black Abbey Street, Accrington. In 2002 Gary and Christine Clarkson bought the company.

The three employees at that time were all retained and remain valued members of staff to this day. This number has now swelled to over twenty. A large percentage of our tradesmen have worked their way up within the Company – commencing as apprentices and qualifying as fully accredited craftsmen.

Gary himself was brought up and educated in the Ribble Valley. In his early working life as a Quantity Surveyor he worked throughout the North West. He progressed to work as a Company Director for a Hyndburn construction company before deciding to purchase Rosslee Construction.

As a family run company a lot of care and attention has been put into the business, putting clients’ wishes and needs to the forefront of the Agenda. Likewise with their staff – all are well thought of and kept informed of the Company’s progression. Rosslee is very proactive in its approach to the ever-changing legislation and challenges of the industry. New legislation and training requirements are implemented accordingly.

Rosslee Construction has an impressive client list which includes many of the local and district authorities; schools/colleges; health authorities; housing associations; church and ecclesiastical organisations as well as working closely with Architect and Surveyors Practices within the North West area.

The Company’s client list also includes many private clients where new build, refurbishment and extensions have been carefully carried out.

Rosslee Construction is proud of it stone built premises on Black Abbey Street, particularly the Joiner’s Shop which is extremely well equipped and can manufacture any item of joinery from a simple window frame to an intricate staircase to a bespoke piece of furniture. We are particularly proud of the work that goes on here as it compliments the Company’s reputation for producing quality products from our very experienced workforce.
