Rosslee Construction have successfully tendered for the above building contract to extend two classrooms at this local school.

The contract also involves moving a retaining wall and forming a canopy to create a covered area to the playground. The project has been designed by architects Campbell Driver Partnership from Blackburn and it is especially innovative in that the use of sustainable materials is of prime importance.

The classrooms are designed to reduce heat loss through the use of sustainable materials so creating a building project with a very low carbon footprint. The use of natural and recycled materials will achieve this.

Some of the materials to be used include – lime plasters, clay blocks and recycled aggregates.

It was the best building experience we have had! We really missed the lads when they went - they had become part of our school family.
