The Obelisk, Preston

We have recently finished renovation works on the Obelisk located on the Flag Market, Market Square in front of the Harris Museum and Art Gallery in the centre of Preston.

The obelisk, which was originally constructed and erected on the market square in 1782, removed in 1853, and returned 126 years later in 1979 by the owner Mr Edward Nicholson, has been given a face lift. The stone obelisk itself has been power washed and the lamp re-painted whilst the surrounding steps have been replaced and repointed.
