The Old Vicarage, Bury

The extension and refurbishment of a private house in Bury, Lancashire was notable for its unusual architectural details such as the zinc covered ‘winged’ roof, the corner window frames, the ‘rain chain’ and the teak cladding boards.

There was a high standard of internal finishes including tiled floors and architectural joinery.

All the bespoke joinery including the sliding folding patio doors and the feature external structural roof truss were manufactured by Rosslee Construction in our joiner’s workshop.

One difficult part of the contract was that the building was into a banking of earth and had to be waterproofed by ‘tanking’
