Rosslee were awarded the refurbishment and renovation of a former Yorkshire Bank premises to convert it to a new NHS Health Centre.

Enabling works included asbestos removal from the first-floor ceiling void and internal full strip back to bare brick. Further to this, the original bank safe had to be removed by a specialist contractor.

Full internal refurbishment included new walls and ceiling panels. Full new Mechanical & Electrical fitting throughout the building to NHS standards for 3 clinical rooms, offices, and storage rooms. In the clinical rooms specialist clinical furniture, lighting and clinical washers were installed. New internal fire doors, architraves and skirting were installed and completed with full decoration throughout.

External works included the cleaning of masonry, roof repairs and leadworks over existing copings. New windows and doors were installed throughout allowing for an airy and bright environment.

Challenges included a large electrical substation at the rear of the property, so great care had to be taken for any excavation works for new drainage. A full site survey was carried out before any excavation works were started.

Due to the size of the site and being a town centre location, all waste and materials collections/deliveries had to be carefully co-ordinated, to limit impact to members of the public.
