We are delighted to have been appointed by the Canal River Trust to restore and regenerate Burnley’s Finsley Gate Wharf area!
This is one of the oldest wharves on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, home of Grade II Listed buildings including three warehouses, a canal cottage, outbuilding and blacksmith forge which are in a poor state of repair.
The Heritage Lottery Fund have now approved a £2.5 million grant through its Heritage Enterprise programme to help restore the historic buildings.
Rosslee will be commencing work this month to transform the site into a leisure attraction, educational and community space including a café, visitor accommodation and a function room.
