Rankings are based on learner feedback, intake numbers, diversity and achievements, for this Department of Education and RateMyApprenticeship co-delivered accolade. Top 50 SME league table showcases the very best apprenticeship programmes in England over the past 12 months.

STOCKDALE’S GOLF DAY – JUL 2025
Rosslee continues to support Stockdales of Sale charity and entered a team into the annual Golf Day – helping towards the event raising £10’000 for the organisation to continue their work with children and adults with learning disabilities.

T-LEVEL STUDENT TOUR – JUNE 2025
We invited seven construction T-Level students from Blackburn College to take a tour around our heritage renovation contract at The Exchange in Blackburn.

BLACKBURN BEER & GIN FESTIVAL – MAY 2025
We sponsored the beer glasses this year at the festival, which is held to raise funds for Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone!

BLACKBURN & DARWEN YOUTH ZONE – SCHOOL CAREERS TOUR
In February 2025 we hosted a Construction Careers tour at the Youth Zone renovation of the Fusebox. We were joined by Yr9 pupils from the local St Bedes High School and Tauheebul Boys High School, organised by Blackburn College, to promote paths into the construction industry and trades.
Thanks go to BDYouthZone for allowing us around their new facilities and especially to Tamara for helping us deliver a fun tour.

Accrington & Rossendale College – Careers Fair 2025
In February, we attended the college’s careers fair, with our Contracts Manager, Chris, there to discuss construction careers, apprenticeships, and skilled trades with the potential new students in the area.

We are proud to continue our patronage for another year. We have taken part in various activities throughout the past 12 months to further contribute to their fundraising.
Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is a 21st century youth zone located at the heart of the town, open to young people aged 5 to 25 years old, aiming to change the prospects offered to young people in the area. Offering a state-of-the-art facility for young people to have a space which provides “Somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to”.

YOUTH BUZZ AWARDS 2024
We were proud to be a sponsor of this years Manchester’s Youth Buzz Awards held in March. The awards recognise young people’s achievements and celebrate the amazing contributions they make to the city and its communities.
There are eleven award categories, underpinned by their five Skills for Life: Self-belief, Communication, Self-management, Teamwork, and Problem-solving.

HYNDBURN MAYOR’S CHARITY BALL 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Hyndburn Mayor’s Charity Ball held at the 1968 Lounge at Accrington Stanley Football Club.
Our lovely table displays were created by pupils at St Andrew’s C.E Primary School in Oswaldtwistle.
The evening was to support three local charities including Milly’s Smiles, Jeffrey’s Battle with Battens Disease, and Accrington Stanley Women FC – with games and an auction raising over £14’000!

ACCRINGTON & ROSSENDALE COLLEGE – CAREER FAIR 2024
Our Contracts Manager, Nick attended the event to support the local college, and chat to future students on apprenticeships and construction careers.

In Oct 2023 we became Patrons of Blackburn Youth Zone. We will be taking part in various activities with them too, including career development, work experience, volunteering and seasonal activities.

WINNER – WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Rosslee were shortlisted in 4 categories this year (Family Business, Large Business, Made in Hyndburn & Workforce Development). We took home the award for Workforce Development due to our established Apprenticeship programme.

HAZEL GROVE HIGH SCHOOL CAREERS FAIR 2023
We attended the school’s Careers Fair in Oct 2023, where over 1000 students from across the years attended to talk to local business, further education facilities and public service organisations about career paths, different industries and roles.

NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK 2023
We attended two events with local colleges (Blackburn College and Accrington & Rossendale College) to promote both apprenticeships and construction industry careers, along with a recruitment drive for our own future students.

TOUGH MUDDER 10K CHALLENGE – AUG 2022
To raise funds for charity ELHT&Me (East Lancs Health Trust) Rosslee entered a team into the Tough Mudder 10k Challenge. Proud to wear our charity t-shirts for a muddy, messy, memorable day as a team – and raising £700 for the charity.

Rosslee entered a team into the Golf Day to raise funds for Stockdales of Sale – helping to raise £4’400 for the organisation to continue their work with children and adults with learning disabilities.

HAZEL GROVE 6TH FORM SITE TOUR
During our 2022 contract at Hazel Grove to deliver their new 6th Form facilities, we invited students on site tours when we encapsulated their time capsule into the structure, and had them and staff sign the steels. We also attended their 2023 Careers Fair to talk to students about career paths into the industry.

HYNDBURN BUSINESS AWARDS 2021
Rosslee were finalists for two awards, B2B Business and Workforce Development. There was strong competition this year, with nearly 600 entries and nearly 200 people attended the evening event at Accrington Town Hall.

The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride
Team Rosslee took part in the 60 mile cycle yesterday from Manchester to Blackpool!
The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride is The Christie charity’s largest cycling event that is attended by over 4,000 cyclists each year. The money raised from The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride helps to provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families, as well as helping to carry out more research, give more people the very best treatment and care – and save even more lives.

HIVE BUSINESS AWARDS 2019
Rosslee Construction won ‘Large Business of the Year’ Award at the prestigious HIVE Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards this year. There was some tough competition, Rosslee were selected out of dozens of applications from throughout the region to attend an interview with a panel of judges, so all are thrilled that the team were able to impress them!
The judges said “we were impressed with this steadily growing construction company, and the investment Rosslee make in the future generation of construction workers”

WEAR IT PINK
Rosslee Construction supported the Breast Cancer awareness Campaign and in particular the Wear It Pink day on the 28th October.
All the team wore pink from the MD to Site operatives raising over £600 for Breast Cancer Research

FOOTBALL MATCH
Rosslee Construction entered a team in the charity 5 aside football competition in Burnley to help raise funds for local charities with the local Rotary Club.
